1. Changes in 1.60D

New Features

Hardware Handshake (RTS/CTS) for the serial port can now be turned off under Settings in the PICO Plug Monitor. The newest version off the PICO Plug Monitor (PlugMon.exe, Vers. 1.16 or above) must be used to access this function.

Problem fixes

Some HP Printers (LJ 5l / 6L) are not detected by the PICO Plug.


2. Changes in 1.60E

Problem fixes

If you use the PICO Plug serial port for LAN Access / Modem or direct serial connections together with a Bluetooth device from another manufacturer (observed with a Sony VAIO notebook with integrated Bluetooth) the PICO Plug stops sending data after a few bytes sent.


3. Changes in 1.60F

Problem fixes

It was not possible to use two PICO Plug devices with Authentication enabled.

When the PICO Plug disconnects from a master device it is possible that the connection is not droped completly.


4. Changes in 1.62

New Features

Faster data transfer for printer applications.

Note: to use the new features described next you need the PICO Plug configuration software version 1.16.5 or above.

A speed of 1200 Bits / second was now possible for the serial port. Note that this baud rate does not conform with the Bluetooth standard !

The local serial port settings can optional be signaled to a remote Bluetooth device.

Accepting serial port settings from a remote device can be disabled.

The automatic device detection for the serial port can be disabled.

For master mode operation the pairing is now done during remote device installation. It is not necessary to change the local PIN anymore.

Problem fixes

With some Bluetooth devices service discovery on the PICO Plug may take very long (up to 25 seconds).

Odd parity on the serial port is not working correctly.

Using the PICO Plug on a PC serial port with Active Sync Software may cause problems (the ACtive Sync Software always detects a remot device, even when not connected).

Under rare conditions it was impossible to connect to the PICO Plug again after a radio link breakdown.


5. Changes in 1.63.2

New Features

Internal changes for enhanced interoperability with other Bluetooth products.

Problem Fixes

Under rare conditions there may be data tranmission errors when using two PICO Plugs.

When using the PICO Plug as a master the first chararcters send may get lost when there is a bad RF connections.

When using the PICO Plug as a master on a PC running Windows XP:
When the PICO Plug  is conected to the PC when the PC starts and the slave Bluetooth device is not reachable, the PICO Plug may not function anymore until it is powered off and on again.
